On Sunday, November 3, 2024, the Sushi & Sake Festival 2024 was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles Downtown, attracting an incredible crowd of approximately 1,000 attendees.
This year, we expanded the event to include the spacious Chizuru Banquet Room on the third floor, making it the largest festival to date. Guests enjoyed a wide variety of activities and delights, ensuring everyone left with unforgettable memories.
The sushi corner was perfectly prepared to greet all our visitors, offering a tantalizing array of freshly crafted sushi.
The festival kicked off with an electrifying performance by Koshin Daiko, setting an upbeat and festive tone right from the start.
In keeping with tradition, we celebrated with a sake barrel opening ceremony, or Kagami Biraki, symbolizing harmony and good fortune for all attendees.
One of the event’s main attractions was the Tuna Carving Show, where Mr. Kugita, the president of the Restaurant Association, personally showcased his expert skills. The audience was captivated as he masterfully carved a massive 164 kg tuna, creating an unforgettable spectacle.
The entertainment continued with a stunning Lion Dance on stage, bringing good luck and captivating everyone with its lively energy.
The Samurai Show also dazzled the crowd, proving to be a favorite among guests of all ages.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the businesses and organizations that participated in and supported the festival. Your contributions were invaluable, and this event would not have been possible without you.
We are already planning an even more exciting event for next year. Stay tuned for updates, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for another memorable celebration!
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this year’s festival a resounding success!
